In the machine vision system, the optical lens is equivalent to the human eye, and its main function is to focus the optical image of the target on the photosensitive area array of the image sensor (camera). It is required that the light with the highest resolution of the lens should match the wavelength of the lens and the wavelength of the CCD device, and the light transmittance of the optical lens to this wavelength should be improved as much as possible. Some special effects can be achieved by selecting appropriate filters in the imaging system. In addition, the design of the imaging optical path also needs to pay attention to the influence of various stray light.

The lens is also an essential part of TV monitoring. With the cooperation of the lens and the CCD industrial camera, the remote target can be imaged on the CCD target surface of the industrial camera, and then the optical image formed by the optical imaging system can be converted into video/digital signal.
